20's Flapper :)

It's been a long time since I last updated this. Dakota and I started Fall semester end of August and have been super busy. We both did really good in our summer classes :) But through that we discovered what we really want to do. Dakota wants to be a High School teacher, probably history and spanish, maybe biology. And I want to major in Special Education. I only have one more semester until I gradutae from BYU with my Bachelors in Psychology so I am just going to finish and then go back for my Post Bachelors in Special Education. I love my job and working with Devyn. He is the sweetest little boy and any accomplishment he has makes me SOOOOOOOOOOO happy :)

Last week Dakota's grandpa turned 100!!! He is still lucid and can walk with a cane!! He is an inspiration really. There is so much to learn from him. He had a party to celebrate it and sooo many people came. It was like our wedding reception all over again haha :)

Also we got a dog!!!!!!!! :) He just showed up at Dakota's grandpa's house. He is a german pinscher, 10 months old, and we named him Reeses because his coloring reminded us of the coloring. He is a very sweet dog, house trained, and NEVER barks!!! I love him so much :)

Tonight we had a halloween party with some young married couples in our ward and we went as people from the 20's. I was a flapper girl :) I wore the dress I wore to tolo back in my junior year and it still fit :) hahahah

All in all life is amazing :) more next time :)

It's been a while.

So it's been a long time since I last wrote. The wedding has come and gone and was AMAZING!!!! We are both in school and have finals in a week so we have been very busy. The wedding was amazing!! It was a wonderful day full of love, family, yummy food, and hecticness, if that's even a word :) It was amazing to know that I would be sealed to Dakota for all eternity :) Everyone helped out so much!! Thank you to anyone who helped. You made our wedding day amazing!!

We have been living in West Jordan in my aunts basement. We worked until the end of June and then started summer term at BYU. Dakota and I were in the same classes and we are so glad they are going to be done next week :) They are the hardest classes in our a major.

I love my new job!! I work with an amazing autistic boy and I start training on Friday to be his aid at his school :) I love helping him.

I also got called to be the 10-11 year old primary teacher. They are a hyper bunch but I love being with them, and being their teacher.

Well back to homework :)

37 Days!!!

The wedding is getting so close!!!! I am so excited for it to be here. Just some advice to people, don't plan a wedding while you are in school, it is one of the hardest things I have had to do. I am trying to get good grades, thus wedding stuff seems to never get done. I am ready for this wedding to be here and just be married!!!! My mom is coming this weekend which will be really nice, because we will be able to get a lot done for the wedding. And I have two bridal showers the next two weekends!! Oh and for anyone who didn't know I interviewed for an internship and I got it!!!! I started work about a week ago. It's at ACAFS or the Family Academy. I am a supervisor for exhanges and supervised visits for people who are divorced and their kids. It will be a learning experience, and will help me get into grad school, so I am very grateful. Even though I have been super stressed and will be for the next five weeks, I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life and can't wait for April 25th :)

So I just got the layout for the wedding announcement and it's amazing!! It makes me so happy!! The wedding feels even more real now! Thank you so much to Mindi for all her help with the photos and arranging this layout for me.

We got them done while we were still on Christmas break since we didn't want to have to deal with it during school. One of Dakota's close family friends has a daughter who is becoming a photographer. She did an amazing job and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I think they turned out amazing so here are my favorites.

Engagement!!

This is my first entry on my blog. I have always wanted to make a blog so I decided to try it out. I recently just got engaged on December 27 and have 61 days until I am going to be married in the Logan Temple. It is going to be on April 25 and I can't wait. I can't believe it to be honest. I am still in shock but I am the happiest person alive. I feel so lucky to know that I am going to be marrying the most amazing man. I know all of you want to know how it happened so here is the story.First here is some history so the story makes more sense. When we first talked about getting married he said he wasn't sure if he could get me a ring. I told him I didn't need one (haha count of monte cristo line right there) and that I would be happy with a cheap plastic one from a vending machine. Also, he has been making me think for the longest time he was going to propose in January and I really believed that. So during the break Dakota flew to Seattle to meet my family, friends, and to see my hometown. Last Saturday so December 27, Dakota, me, my mom, and dad went to the cheesecake factory. While we were waiting for a table Dakota said he had an amazing idea. He thought it would be so funny to get a fake plastic ring from a vending machine so I could wear it to my home ward and pretend we were engaged and play a joke on everyone. I agreed so we went into the mall that was close by to go find one but we didn't find any. So on the way home we stopped at alberstons and bought 4 fake plastics rings that were all pretty ugly haha. When we got back to my house I told him that if he was going to give me a fake plastic ring that he needed to fake propose to me ( little did I know I was tottaly making this so easy for him). He got all nervous and started to get down on his knees but couldn't get down all of the way he was so nervous so I kinda just pushed him down on the ground, not hard but just a light push. haha. He was so nervous and I couldn't understand why so I said something along the lines of "are you going to be this nervous when you really propose?" and of course he said yes he would be. I told him it was going to be good practice and to just do it ( i still think this is a fake proposal by the way). So he proposed to me and grabbed a ring out of one of the canisters from the vending machine. As he put it on my finger he was hiding the ring and then he lifted his hand and there was a ring on my finger but certainly not any of the ones from the vending machine. I just sat there for at least two minutes tottaly shocked and silent. The first thing that came out of my mouth was "this better not be fake". I still thought this was a fake proposal. haha and he said no kylie this is real. So i gave him a hug and then he said.. so.. haha i hadn't answered him yet and of course I said yes :)It was the best proposal I could've asked for and I am so happy to be engaged to dakota. He is perfect for me in every way and I know this is who I am supposed to spend forever with. I love him so much and I can't wait to marry him
